I build out your session plan from scratch - when to arrive and where (like where to park), how long each part takes, and how to buffer for the things that always run a little late.
Before, during planning, and through to your session. All questions and anxieties welcomed! For proposals, all of this happens discreetly - nothing that looks like a photographer.
If your location requires a permit, I handle the research and application. No surprise fees, no day-of complications.
I know several spots with a variety of vibes in San Diego, and I know the timing - first light, last light, which direction the shadows fall, you get the gist. Whether you have a location in mind or no idea, I'm here to plan with you.
And on the day itself: someone who guides you without making you feel like you're posing, who captures your dynamic rather than directing it, and who will be completely discreet when the moment happens. And probably will cry the happy tears with you.

We plan it
Location, timing, outfit ideas, logistics — I'm your location scout, scheduler, and expert Google Maps pinner.
Make it official
I'll send over a contract and a fixed deposit to hold your date. You don't need to pick a package yet — we figure that part out together.
Session day
I guide you — not with stiff posing, but with things to do — and capture every real moment in between.

How do we keep the proposal a complete surprise?
I can't reveal all of my secrets in case a partner is reading this too — but there's no clear email or text evidence of who I am or that you're working with a photographer. Tbh, my emails look sketchy but it's for the best I promise. I've done this many times and I take the surprise seriously.
Can we do both the proposal and engagement photos in one session?
Yes. We capture the proposal moment, then transition into an engagement session. If you want to go this route, I recommend booking at least an hour. If you decide to have two separate sessions, I offer a bundled rate when booking together.
Do I need to know how to pose?
No. Most of my couples are nervous about this part then end up feeling totally comfortable. I give you things to do — walk here, whisper something, hold their hand — and capture your dynamic. You'll see my portfolio doesn't have tons of photos of people smiling at camera, and that's because you and your partner don't just stare and smile. You interact, and that's what I love to document.
Can our dogs come?
Dogs are always welcome. Let me know before so I can ensure the locations are dog friendly and bring treats. I also offer dog watching as an add-on if you want them in some shots but not all of them.
Do you travel outside San Diego?
Always. I travel anywhere — reach out and tell me where you're thinking, and I'll get that carry-on ready.
