How do I keep the proposal a surprise if I have to plan with a photographer?
I love the surprise part and am good at disguising it! We communicate through whatever channel works — usually email with a sketchy subject that definitely isn't proposal. I'll never reach out to your partner's number or email. We plan everything in advance so there's no last-minute contact needed on the day. You know just where to expect me, and I always get there early to be safe.
Do I need to know exactly where I want to propose?
Not at all. That's part of what I help with. Tell me what kind of moment you're imagining and I'll give you 2–3 location options with the pros and cons of each — light, logistics, foot traffic, timing. We'll land on something that fits both of you.
How long until we get the photos?
You'll have previews within 2 days of the session. The full gallery of 30–100+ hand-edited images (depending on your package) arrives within 4 weeks.
We're already engaged — can we still book this?
Absolutely. You don't need to be planning a proposal to use this offer. Plenty of couples book a session just to celebrate being engaged, explore San Diego together, and get photos that actually look like them. The 30% off applies either way.
Does the 30% off apply if we want engagement photos after the proposal too?
Yes. The Classic and Adventure packages have time built in for portraits after the proposal moment — most couples choose these packages to have the breathing room. The 30% off applies to the full package.
Can our dog come?
Dogs are always welcome. Let me know in advance so I can confirm the location allows them and bring treats. I also offer a dog-watching add-on if you want them in some shots but not all.
