Why I'm doing this
I'm exiting my “new mom” era, and I want to photograph more families.
I've photographed families for years. Then I had my daughter, and I found out what it's actually like on the other side of the camera: the nap that runs long (or never happens…), the outfit that lasts nine minutes, the mid-session feed that just has to happen.
We're moving to the PNW early next year, and I want to spend a chunk of these last San Diego months photographing babies, bumps, and the beautiful mess that comes with family. So I'm opening six sessions in October and November at 30% off, and with a print credit, because I know it's hard to prioritize printing our memories.

Every session includes a $50 print credit. Families, maternity, newborns and growing families. Your home counts as a location and is often the best one. Siblings, grandparents and dogs are all welcome at no extra charge.

The schedule
We build the timing around your family
Tell me the nap window and the good hour of the day, and we'll build around it. I'd rather move the whole session than photograph at the “prettiest” time with a grumpy fam.
The posing
Almost none
Nobody has to sit still or look at the camera, unless you want that of course. A one-year-old wandering off is a photo, not an issue. The candids are the best part!
The outfits
They don't have to match
I'll send guidance if you want it. But the sweater they wear every single day is worth more in ten years than a coordinated palette.

I'll suggest spots based on where your family is actually comfortable, including your living room.

Tell me the schedule and I'll work to it. Golden hour is great; a happy kid is better.
